But to be honest, completely new people,to Live will only see is the Ableton new look website
And some people will think,"Oh there no forum",and they may not even think to google for it or even bookmark the page, lol
Yeah I gotchya. I think it's a great idea, given how low key the questions are right now compared to how they could be....oy
It's best to wait for spazzes like me to calm the f down first before opening the floodgates to the rest of the world.

Yes - we must hide the mutants, lest they let others know about the Brown-Henke dither ;)

No, really, it's just a change. Thanks for your feedback - we'll take it into account.

Hej David,

there is a lot of unused content-space beside the Help- and Latest Questions boxes to show the forum link. To put the forum link in the footer is also a great idea and really simple to do, jus a little line of code.

My point on the forum is. It is really messed up by sensless threads all the way. Maybe yours reset it when Live 9 is out and have a better moderation then. Give a login just to registred Live users will prevent some trash. Do it like NI, recrute mods from users who are trusted by yours.

cheers

Honestly, I thought the forums had been taken down since my bookmark didn't work and there was no link via the main page. The only reason I chose to even bother searching is that it was mentioned in another forum that there were active conversations about upgrade pricing going on in here. Leaving the forum link off the main page will deter most from seeing it out. Just my 2 cents.

Again, are you really really serious?

A company that has an extensive forum section, but no link to it on the company site? What? Frankly, sounds like lighthearted trolling in the midst of all this, but come on :P

My old saved link didn't work so the first place I went was the Ableton page, not Google. Just because 'not many people use it', some still do, maybe not a high percentage but I bet a reasonably high number. Wasn't the idea of the 'Ableton community' part of the whole experience you were selling anyway? Now the 'official' connection between Ableton the company and this forum appears cut. I feel like the girl you just call when you need to get off but are too embarrassed to be seen out with
Oh and the site is straaaaaaaaaange, is that the nouveaux Euro-irony template? Like some kooky savant put it together-can see where it's coming from but little professional finish ie the blue text at the bottom left of the top page is absolutely illegible. You cut a valuable functional link to your forum (where a lot of the input for new features originated) but add new links that will NEVER be used because they're completely invisible. Appears to be design by committee, where no-one actually has an overview and ability to say, 'Hey Klaus, das ist totally useless, sort it the feck out'.
End of rant.

Sorry but that is retarded.

Another fine display of the contempt Ableton has for this forum.

Well let's be honest, some of that contempt is warranted.

Agreed, even when I do contribute to that contempt.

They should have some sort of "Block white trash" filter for trashy and non-contributing posts.
