this.

it wasn't colorful, loud, ornate, cluttered... it might not have scaled well on devices, but that is a separate matter. when it comes to webdesign clean reaches a larger audience (whether they know why or not).

ok,the problem i was having was copying the code from inside of chrome, copying would select the code along with borders where the code was inserted.
it was fixed by copying from inside firefox and pasting into chrome.

thanks again for this.

Strange, right after the site changed everything sounds like it's coming from a calliope. Coincidence?

^ ah, therein lies the disconnect...here's what Chrome looks like for me:

So perhaps you haven't done everything right according to Angstrom's instructions? Or there may be some other issue.

it looks fine now. like i said above though, when i was copying the code from inside chrome the code and the border of the code would both be selected ( i realized this when recopying the code). i think i might have a buggy extension in chrome that is effecting copying.
anyways the solution was to just copy the code from firefox and paste it into chrome.

thanks for the help.

I'm doing one for the Ableton main site now I figured out this plugin.

I'm not sure if I'll bother finishing it, I'm more likely to do music tomorrow, it being Saturday. But so far ... this is the Shop page, as an example of how it's going. A bit buggy yet.

I just used all the assets they have available, but called them into the CSS differently.

Thanks a heap Angstrom. Really appreciate it :D

When you fix up the Abes main site, can you create a new category for those who have Live 8 suite & M4L ?

Full upgrade for $150 would be fine

what will happen if they realize the present version is unreadable and make one that is more easy on the eyes ? And really, there is no way to change those freaky settings from the site ? They really wanted to be catchy about Live 9's announcement

But really, Angstrom; I wouldn't bother with the main site.

Yeah, for me it is something like visual/brand suicide - from one of the most stylish (Audio-) Sites/Companies to "Same Same" or worse in an eye blink :-)
I guess the old gear and stickers will become collectors items now.

Anyway:

Just wanted to report: The Stylesheet from Angstrom also works in Opera!!!
Thanks god ;-)

How it works:

Save the Chrome code from the first page of this thread to a text file somewhere on your HD that you could for instance call Ableton.css

Follow these instructions: http://operawiki.info/operausercss
Under "Applying CSS to specific sites using 'My stylesheet'"

Worked on first try here.

Thanks again!

Cheers,

Tom

Did anyone else get a problem where mostly all installed Chrome extension have to be reloaded manually on each startup after installing the Stylish extension?
