Entering Code has to be a simple copy/paste

Post by macmidiguy » Fri Jul 15, 2005 3:05 pm

I was prepared to just copy/paste that beta code.

What the??????

There i was facing a line of tene weene boxes that requires entry one by one.

Why????

A simple mac copy/paste please guys.

Or have I got it wrong?

There's an easier way to register the code?

So right now I am not registered and not beta testing!!!

Sure hope that the full version does not expect me to do the entry box by box???

If yes, then that's enough to turn me off purchasing the programme.

Hi macmidiguy,

What kind of "code" do you mean? The serial number to enter in the Unlock dialog of Live?

regards,
Alex

If you can't be bothered typing in 20 characters to unlock the program I doubt very much whether you will have enough energy to bother pressing play...

on a brighter note, welcome to the forum... make us all happy by telling us how much you love Live...

as far as i can remember, you can do a straight copy-paste even though the boxes look separate. just copy the whole serial number, click on the first box and paste it there.

on the other hand, if having to entering a serial number by hand ONCE the first time you install the program is seriously enough to turn you off from getting live then you might not want to try the program since it actually requires you to make music yourself.

Yes, that is exactly how it works.

Take it easy guys.

This is not the only midi/audio programme I have or beta tested.

My point in posting was that this programme is only a beta programme that will expire on a given day. So I can't use it forever.

Why even bother with a code/serial number ?

Somewhat silly just to beta test a programme.

Anywho it's a very interesting programme and somewhat reminds me of that Traction programme.

There are a few quirks I came up with however at this point I;m not certain if it was just that I was pushing the programme to the limit or perhaps just importing ideas or ways of doing things from other programmes.

The programmers of LIVE are really good and have introduced some innovative intuitive ideas.

wooa, something has changed at ableton's beta

because yesterday i had to make another download

because my computer crashed and i had to re-install Panther

so this download had all the codes and i just had to authenticate it back to the ableton's web site

way to go ableton
