midi foot control for clip delete/undo

Post by grifftone » Mon Jul 18, 2005 2:12 am

What's the best way to use a midi footpedal to delete a clip or undo a recording? Presently i have my behringer fcb 1010 foot controller set up to record/launch clips and stop clips, but i have no way to actually delete them or remove them without using the mouse/qwerty.

If i'm correct, i'll need to use the footpedal to somehow trigger a laptop keyboard command like "command Z" or "delete".

Will live 5 have these commands available from the midi map mode?

I'm on a mac powerbook os10.3.9

thanks,

search these forums for control-aid, a mac way of mapping midi to the delete key, I think using midi pipe. I'm on pc with bomes midi translator and midi yoke, so can't give details, but there are thorough instructions on this issue if you do the search. good luck
