the bezier curves have to be controlled by an Adobe plugin which adds the pen tool from Photoshop. after creation you then have to Rasterize your tracks and upload them to the iTunes app store for approval from Apple to play on iOS devices.

Yeah because upload to beatport and snap to grid are definitely as important as PDC.

depending upon whose posting any one of those features is the most important, game changing, deal breaking, needed last week, needed it last rev, but other DAWs have it, "screw you guys. i'm going home", feature ever...

think i'll stick with 8 for another year or so, wait for the dust to settle and the bugs to be flushed out...though theres some cool improvements nothing seals the deal that i feel i need it on the release date to continue doing what i do

Except half the issues you mentioned are not "screw you guys i'm going home" features. I don't think anyone is leaving Ableton because it doesn't have snap to grid automation. Certain issues are definitely more important than others.
