Stealth Mode for forum
With the old look of the forum I could easily check this forum on a daily basis at work. But this new color just attracts too much attention on my 30 inch screen at work. My boss already gave me a disliking look (which he never did when I had this site open before). And one of my colleagues already asked me if I was checking some porn site or something?
Anyway, it would be nice if we could get a "stealth" version of this forum (maybe just a switch button; black and white and grey as it was before was just perfect!)...
ps. I don't want to start a discussion again about what people think of the colors on the new website, etc...

I believe it was Angstrom made a thread showing how to customize the skin of the site so it didn't look so... fleshy.

it would be possible to style it so it looks like a word document.agent314 wrote:I believe it was Angstrom made a thread showing how to customize the skin of the site so it didn't look so... fleshy.
I do have other things to do though, but the thread about styling is here

it's quite easy to tinker with the colours, although the PHPbb document has the worlds most terrible structure, so nothing is labelled sensibly.

Re: Stealth Mode for forum
I am a fan of the design of the new website, but the forum is just... extremely questionable color design.
Re: Stealth Mode for forum
really? The forum changes from gray (is that what it was before?) to tan and suddenly your boss is giving you the evil eye and people think you're looking at porn? mkayUnCL0NED wrote:With the old look of the forum I could easily check this forum on a daily basis at work. Angstrom's works in various browsers I think.
This is really cool.

Yeah I know... I've just gotten used to it It's really a luxury problem, because I do resize the window at times, but I often forget. I'm just that lazy!dazzer wrote:OP opens browsers full screen on a 30" monitor
Funken's solution is clean and simple! Exactly what I was looking for!pepezabala wrote:funken wrote:You can also use Change Colors in Google Chrome

Your colleagues' response seem quite natural?

On Google chrome: Find a page you want to read > press ctrl+u > press f11. Instantly looks like when you're coding when in fact you're reading a forum
