Track Stutter Effect

Is there a way to create a stuttering effect on a track in Live.....in essence to have a segment of the track loop a couple times before continuing on.....similar to how a dj would hit a loop button on a CD mixer and loop a couple bars of drums?

I realize I could cut up the loops and repeat them on the timeline, but I am assuming there has to be an easier way.

But you'll have a lot more fun if you get a plugin that can do a bit more (bt's stutteredit, artillery 2, etc)
