only one sample at a time in drum racks? please help
only one sample at a time in drum racks? please help
I dont know if my settings or sound card are the cause of this but, when im programming a drum beat in drum racks i can only trigger one sample at a time. so if i have a hh playing every 16th if a kick drum is triggered at the same time as the hh only one of the samples will play. This is annoying because I want to also be able to trigger two kick drums at once to get a fuller sound but this issue is not letting me do this. any advice would be awesome.

Open the IO settings in the drum rack and set the choke amounts for all the cells to 'NONE'. I don't know how you would have accidentally changed this from the default, but it is the only explanation I can think of...

HI, did you sort this out in the end. I'm having the same problem. I have all chokes set to none but it still wont play 2 sounds at once.
I have another drum rack set up with some non drum samples in it, but that one seems to be working fine. Just the one with drum samples is doing this. Very strange I know... Am I missing something in the samples them selves?
Any thoughts? Surely this not a restriction in Ableton...

Hmm, this sounds bizarre. How are you triggering them? Drum pad (padKontrol, LPD8, MPC, etc...)? I will have to look into this as well as that doesn't seem/sound (lol) right. Will try when I get a chance, just now getting Live 9 installed on my DAW desktop. Still some more packs to get and try some stuff out.

started a new project and added a drum rack. Added the same samples to it but now its working fine... Must have been a strange corruption in the channel or something. I'll keep you posted if it happens again in the future.
Im just testing out live 9 myself. Loving it
