Bugger. I missed it.

I was about to be tipped over the edge and pay $400+ to upgrade to Suite, so that I could get this ...then I saw the beta was full. Oh well.

Sirsly? I was planning to wait at least a few months after the release next year, as I usually upon releases expect there to still be serious bugs to ride out.

But if people keep reporting that its actually more stable then 8, I might not have to wait that long. Actually the very few updates on the core of the application from 8 might be the reason its stable. There hasnt been added much to actually provide for new bugs. Theres a few new plugs, the browser and automation in session. All straight forward stuf that might not add to much new bugs to the 8 base.

I havent got time to beta test before next year, so I envy you guys a bit. Well, now that it is open maybe the users/testers can start posting more details on the forum?

Poke to Tarekith: Waiting for that beta review. ;)

edit: ah, so its closed again..

Can you point out if/where you used the new features?

Wow, this doesn´t feel like a beta AT ALL!
Played around with it yesterday evening and it didn´t crashed once. This is already more stable than Live 7 and Live 8 when they where officially released!

Not sure if i like the new browser, it really takes up some more space. As i own "the glue" compressor i really don´t care about this one. The "Gate" behaves definitely different than in Live 8, i opened a track i am working on where i use the Gate effect and the vocals where chopped really weird, where in Live 8 it sounds just fine BUT after adjusting the Gate in Live 9 i like the gated vocals much better, so be aware that you might need some tweaking of old songs where you used the Gate.

Well over on the beta forum there are around 500 members and in the press conference video they said there are over 1.7 million Live users. So chances are, most people won't have (or be getting) the beta.

I do count myself lucky.

Just be as sad as I was and keep the beta page open at work and at home and check every hour while awake!

ps - this has more to do with boredom at work than any beta desperation

God damn, I use 2x a side chained Gate on every track in every project, and each has like from 40 and all the way up to 70 tracks. Track load is mostly sound effects, but still a lot of work if I have to manually edit every single instance of Gate plugs.

Oh, and I love to hear positive feedback regarding beta stability. :)
