Software/VST to help with Chords
Software/VST to help with Chords
I am a somewhat beginner with music production, and I am absolutely horrible at the keyboard.
Is there a vst or software that I can use to help sort of automatically correct parts to align harmonically as chords?
Hope this question makes sense.
Thanks so much,
ejordan

I have a similar app on my iPad called "Chordion" video below and there is also an iPad app called "Poly Chord" both are pretty awesome. So you would need an iPad and some time of midi connection running from your iPad. I use the Alesis I/O dock

As a beginner you have to learn the basics. Such plugins are not good.
Here you can find infos about basic scales & chords.

Practise the scales, try to keep it in mind, play chords just with notes from the choosen scale! Read some music theory stuff! Trust me its worth to spend time on practising, more than use such plugins.
Peace

Commercial Vst:
http://www.synleor.com/order.html
Free:
http://www.mucoder.net/en/tonespace/
standalone:
http://www.cognitone.com/products/nav/intro/page.stml
within Ableton:
"Chord" and "Scale" midi effects.
that said, learn the theory, if you can't construct chords, getting a tool to do it for you is just shooting yourself in the foot down the line, unless you also get a tool to create progressions for you, and then a tool to write melodies to them, and so on...

Is that piss as in Play In Scale Stupid?funken wrote:In the above, in the first one, is the revolutionary and internationally acclaimed "macableton method™", where basically you learn all the main scales in about 30 seconds, and the chords in another 30 seconds. It literally is a piece of piss.
