Controlling Reason Parameters with APC40

I've been searching for ways to control Reason realtime via Live, and the closest thing I could find in relation is this thread from almost two years back.

All I want to do is map macro knobs in a rack to parameters in a Reason device. This thread does point to a video describing a way to do this using Midi Yoke, but it's for PC only afaik. I'm on a Mac.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any developments in this area? Will Live 9 have any features that will make this easier to do? Are there any existing M4L devices that could help?

The two hardest parts are discovering the CC values of the things you want to control, and then midi mapping macros of a blank midi rack to those specific CCs without interfering with your other controllers.

If you have anything that can make cc's easily and adjust them, use that.

I don't know for sure as I don't have Mac, but I think there are some kind of IAC routing features built in? In some kind of settings??

you could get the CCs from this file and combine it with this m4l device and an external instrument device.

The M4L and Midi Chart could be what I'm after, though I'll have to wait until i get Live 9 to find out if it'll work (i'm not a M4L user at the moment)

i made myself a m4l patch with 8 knobs that i map to the 8 macros

the device is just a midi pass thru that mixes in the 8 cc (or pitch bends) to its output, i use it to control m hardware synths from the apc 40 knobs

In the meantime you could use Macrobat, which is included in ClyphX
