Re: Wii U
i was in my local toysrus (UK) last week and they dont even have one on demo, just the exact same shitty demo stand for the wii. but with a stand showing the various package deals for the wii u. i havent seen any hype about it anywhere, tho i don't have tv so maybe its all concentrated there.
my kids just arnt bothered, my missis is keen to get one but im pretty much vetoing the idea due to a lack of genuine enthusiasm from all the kids.
im also not impressed at the way the colour choice is working.

Getting one!
Because I can afford it, and because I haven't owned a Nintendo TV console ever. Who wants a 480p console?

Re: Wii U
Only ad I've seen on tv so far showed someone playing old school Mario where you press where you want to jump on the touch screen controller, and it shows the same thing on the telly. Okaaay. Not sure why you'd need more than the controller for that. Or a phone would do just as well.
Not really been into anything since the n64, so my opinion means nothing anyway.

I've seen an ad where you'd use the screen as a keypad for entering pincodes, or for flicking stuff iOS-esque. It was absolutely terrible.andydes wrote:Only ad I've seen on tv so far showed someone playing old school Mario where you press where you want to jump on the touch screen controller, and it shows the same thing on the telly. I'm just getting it for the exclusives. Can't remember when I last owned a Mario game.

Seems like a fun new system to play with for a little bit, and the wii had a few surprising good exclusives. Will probably pick it up in a few months.
