I was looking at purchasing my setup in the near future and I am a little confused on sound cards and audio interfaces. From what I am aware most mixers have sound cards built in them so there is no need to purchase an audio interface.
My questions are does the new traktor z2 have a built in sound card?
And if so do I need to still buy an audio interface for music production or can i hook stuff up through the z2?
I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I'm trying to see if i can cut out the 500-600 i would spend on an interface.
hope this isn't too confusing.Thanks

Specs say 7 analog ins, 6 analog outs. Sounds like it's all you need for starting out. Not familiar with it personally though. The ultra-stable, aircraft-grade aluminum chassis provides an intuitive layout instantly familiar to DJs, offering unprecedented sonic control. Throw in an integrated premium audio interface and dedicated TRAKTOR controls for cue points and Remix Decks and your options become infinite. Whatever your style, you've never had control like this before.

I have a Z2. It has a great soundcard built in.
