Greetings,
I was working with a friend who uses mainly FL Studio. He does a lot of wave editing in Sony Acid Pro. He showed me how he is able to manipulate the wave in Acid in the pick/paint/play interface. Say we have a 4 bar loop and we make that 4 bar loop into 4 slices that are 1 bar slices, respectively. You easily grab the slices and move them around non destructively to preview the rearrangement.
I can do this in most DAW's by creating a track that holds the loop. In this case our 4 bar loop. And slice them in that track and then create another track and pull down the slices in different sequences, to test in the new track. However, I can't, like Acid, do this all in the edit window of Ableton Live.
Does anyone know if this can be done? If so how do you do it?
thanks,
cosmos

Re: Acid Pro signature pick/paint/play interface
I use to do this in acid all the time. It's the same exact thing you'd do in acid as you would in acid just in arrangement view not the session view that you see.
You can move the little arrows on the top left and right and make it looped but not if you're chopping and glitching.
