That's the question. I set my Track to "Live-In", and I can hear what's playing into this Track no problem. If I drop an effect into this channel, the audio is not "effected". What am I doing wrong. Is it possible to have effects affect real-live audio. I've tried using the "Send" channels as well-- didn't work.
Help!
How do I add effects to real-live audio?
options>preferences>audio>monitoring through Live>yes
This should route your audio through all of Live's (and vst) effects to the master out. Assuming the master out is correctly hooked up to your desired sound source (routed there in the same audio menu), you should get sound. Check your master fader as well. This monitoring through lives comes at the price of double the latency, as the audio has to go into Live and back out. depending on your soundcard that may or may not matter.
Good Luck

That did it!!!
That worked.
Thanks Ryan! This has bothered me for quite a while.
And I have seen no real problem with Latency (I'm using a Echo Gina 24/96 card).
Thanks again!
