Project stats like missing plugins and resources per track

Post by moreofmorris » Tue Jan 08, 2013 11:54 am

Ableton Live 8 is starting to crack on my MacBook Pro (late 2008).

I would love to know which of my tracks are taking up the most resources (either RAM or CPU), sometimes it's not as easy to know just by looking at the complexity of the track itself. Also, it would be great to know which tracks have missing plugins. The amount of old projects I've opened and then had to go through deeply nested racks to find the missing plugins etc is a pain. Also, if Live does crash because of a plugin, knowing which it was would be great.

Somewhere in the app, it would be good to have this sort of information. We already have audio files that are missing etc... But what about extra stats on how much each track is taking up in resources (so I know if to freeze or not etc), which plugins are missing on what tracks, which plugins recently crashed etc.

There has been many times now where this sort of low level information would of been very useful.

Thanks, James
