AKAI APC40 - assign more than 16 individual parameters

Hi there alltogether,

do you know if it´s possible to assign more than 16 individual parameters to the 16 APC encoders
via shift or with any other method?

I don´t mean scrolling through the parameters of a chosen VST. I mean completely free configured...

There are a few workarounds.

Think of the Track Control Knobs as having 4 Banks,
Pan Bank, Send A Bank, Send B Bank, Send C bank.
So you can press Pan, then midi map all of the Track Control knobs to something,
exit midi map, press Send A
then midi map all the Track Control Knobs to something else,
and so on.

For the Device Knobs, there's not much you can do outside of the Shift+banking per device selected.
BUT, you can midi map something to "title bars" of devices, giving you fast and precise bluehanding.
For example, you could map all the the track activator buttons to title bars of different devices, then by pressing one you instantly blue hand something to control.

I would also look into NativeKontrol stuff for the APC40.

these are all tools by NativKontrol to make Live to more things.
They are relatively inexpensive considering how much they do. Very good stuff!

thanks a lot for your quick and very helpful replies

Both work fine; the pan, send A, B C workaround fits perfect for me as i don´t need the original setup of these and it seems
to be more comfortable as you don´t have to press shift and as you have a better overview in which bank you are.
