Recording after you have pressed the stop button...

Post by StooB1969 » Mon Jan 14, 2013 11:44 pm

Ableton is really cool that when you have track with reverbs and delay and you stop playing, you get a really nice after effect of the delays sounding for a short time.

Is there a way in Ableton to record this after you have pressed the stop button? Or is there a way to do this without stopping? :?:  :?:

Freeze/flatten the track and you'll get a clip at the end containing the aftereffects

Or you could resample it into a new audio track.

I use the trick a lot where you reverse the reverb/delay aftereffects and use it as a leadin/buildup sound. Makes a smooth introduction to parts so it doesn't sound so abrupt
