Inverting frequency content

Is it possible to create a Max for Live device that would take the audio of a track and invert the content of the frequency spectrum? Think of viewing the sound on a spectrogram, and then being able to flip the image vertically, like this:



Does that make sense? Would it sound interesting? I've never messed with Max but I'd be interested in trying this out as a first project if its doable.

FFT can do that, a basic inversion does not sound much, especially if you don't deal with the phase spectrum then it is likely to sound like a bunch of short soft sinewaves, like a bad mp3, inverting specific regions should be more fun, a proper phase vocoder with oscillator bank resynthesis might be the best....
