rendering problems with rewire

Post by Jos G » Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:32 pm

Yeah,

I've got the same problems with rendering while rewiring Live with Cubase VST 5.1. Even rendering one Live through rewire track didn't work.

On earlier posts someone from Ableton said rewiring wasn't the right procedure for rendering. But what is the purpose for mixing together if you can't render in the end.

A friend uses Reason and Cubase together with rewire and had no problems rendering.

Hi folks,

the Rewire protocol does not contain any information if the current audio stream is running at real time or not. For this reason it is not recommend to process audio faster than in real time when using ReWire.

Furthermore there are plug-ins behaving different when rendering in real-time. That means also when running Live stand alone the Render could not work properly depending on the Live set and the used plug-ins.

A safe way would be to resample audio in Live using "Resampling".

Alex
