Does anyone know if you can get rack ears for an APC40? I couldn't find anything online.
Right now I just have a board laying across a keyboard stand. I use an APC40 with a laptop next to it. I'm looking for a better solution for a quick setup. I'm the guitarist in my band and the Ableton setup is secondary to what I do so I have to deal with a lot of equipment. I know: first world problems, but it makes for a long setup time. I'm hoping to create a scenario where I just pop the lid off of a case and everything is mostly hooked up.
I was thinking maybe a top mount mixer rack with a sliding laptop tray. Another possibility is just getting a cheap pedalboard case and mount the apc40 inside. I don't know, just looking for ideas.
Thanks!

Re: APC40 rack ears?
I had mine mounted in a DJ coffin for a while.
Once you get the side thingys off you should be able to make or find mounts fairly easy.

i dont think it's rack-able, too wide even without the ugly sides, mine is stuck in my dj coffin in the foam

Nice! Is that an actual dj coffin? It looks shallow or is everything on risers? I'm finding all the coffins to be deeper than what I need. Thanks for the replies everyone!Muzik 4 Machines wrote:i dont think it's rack-able, too wide even without the ugly sides, mine is stuck in my dj coffin in the foam

I have a wooden insert thing I build into my coffin, the APC40 sits snug in there.
So yeah it's raised.
