Start/stop xoxbox via clips in Live

Hey guys!

I have Mode Machines xoxbox MkII and I'm looking for a way to make it start and stop playing patterns by using clips in ableton.
I've messed with MidiPipe, transforming notes to start/stop messages, but the problem is that when the midi ports used to connect to the xoxbox is set to "sync", the xoxbox start everytime I start my whole set.
Maybe it's possible to do some black magic in max4live...

If any of you guys are using a xoxbox in this way, any information you have on the sibject is greatly appreciated.

You can change the patterns with program change messages from live (with clips) if you have SokkOS 1.9 or later OS for the xoxbox. Then just keep one of your patterns blank and silent and have that triggered when you want the acid to go away.

just send it a CC#7 = 0 message that'll shut it up
