This is awesome but sucks at the same time. My wife is pissed because march 5th is my wedding anniversary. Last year Mass Effect 3 came out and she was mad that I went to the midnight release and now this lol. Oh and the new Tomb Raider is supposed to come out on the 5th. Life is sucking for her right now lol

If it's any consolation, it cost me almost $400 USD to upgrade from Live 6, which I had more or less retired, to Live 8 Suite with a free upgrade to Live 9 Suite. Can't wait for 5 March! :)

from 6 to 8 is a long way.. but for me from 8 to 9 within 8 months is too short. :(

Actually I'm on 8 Suite and M4L and the upgrade would cost me 169 euros. :x
It's less if you just upgrade to standard. Think you'll still get all the toys, just not the sounds. But it's a lot of packs for not much more money.
Uh, you definitely would not get all the toys, you would get Live 9 standard, with only drum racks, simpler, and impulse. You would lose *ALL* the Suite instruments. Max 4 Live I think would still carry over though, but that's because it was a separate purchase.
Well that wouldn't be much of an upgrade now would it? Who would do that to save 30 quid?

They had the same option last time. I could have upgraded to 8 standard, keeping operator, sampler, tension, etc. But I wouldn't have got corpus or collision, which were new.

What I'm not sure of, is what happens about upgrading next time. You'd have most of the suite, but how is that reflected in price.

Anyone do this last time round? Just curious.

Personally, I've always wanted a go on the orchestral instruments, but they were too expensive for something I'd only use occasionally. So I consider this price pretty damn good.

I'm still baffled by the pricing. $199 upgrade for a Suite+M4L owner.

How come i get an upgrade price for $249?
Is it because currently i have only suite 8 and no M4L?

I was quoted £164 from Live 8 suite to suite 9.
I have just checked my emails as to when i downloaded the demo, which i then went on to buy the full version within the two weeks.

This was back in the summer of 2009 so are the upgrade prices better the longer you have owned version 8?

Looks like it is.

Seems people already with M4L are being quoted higher prices. For the record im delighted with the price and cant wait to get it. :-)

Just noticed DV247.com have increased the price of Push from £399 to £429. I guess there is still some scope for change until officially released but Push, in my opinion, isn't worthy of a price tag great than £400. So, I'm out! (for now...)

To clear up the confusion - if you upgrade from Suite 8 to Live 9 Standard, you'll still get to keep everything that you had with Suite 8. You just won't get any of the new stuff in Live 9 Suite (Max for Live + 25 new devices, The Forge, Session Drums Club/Multimic/Studio, Digicussion 2, Orchestral Instrument Collection, and more). I noticed that too. Other places in the UK still have it at £399.

Do any UK dealers have discount codes like JRR Shop for instance?
