max for live will be out of control, but for now PD can drive midi very easily. set up "ctlout" objects and run them through the iac. delicious

Any chance you could tell me how you set up the tracks and plugins to get this working? I don't have live 8+. I'm at live 7. So I can't use your .als. I have the plugs and put them each in there own midi track, but they turn into instruments, they don't initialize as FX. I'm not even trying to modulate anything inside live. I just need some CC to be sent to a hardware synth, because I need a vibrato LFO, but it HAS to be midi. I would really appreciate the help.

you need 2 tracks: one with the LFO plug, one with the midiOut plug.
route the CC data from the LFO into the 2nd track like in the pic below,
and set the midiOut plug's device to whatever your midi output device is
(your soundcard's midi out etc).

Ok, I think I got it working.. Thanks for the confirmation.. I was setting it up right but didn't arm the midi out track. I am getting modulation happening now. Though while it's running I can't navigate away from the modulated parameter. It keeps snapping back to it anytime I try to go mess with another instrument. kinda makes it a tad unusable for my purposes. Is there any workaround you know of?

sounds like you've mapped the lfo to the track header or something.
are you using IAC/bomes? you don't need to if you're just using the lfo for external gear.
go into midi map mode and check the mappings for a rogue entry.

Hmm. I had that last session closed and didn't really save it cause I was only testing. As I was screen capping a vid to show you, it seems I constructed it in such a way that my problem disappeared. I'm guess I did have a midi map or something on the track header. It's the only explanation that makes sense to me. Thanks for the help. I was using IAC. I wanted to get it working internally before I tried with my external gear. Everything works now. Now I just got to find a way to create an amount for the lfo. I'm making a vibrato for a synth that doesn't have one and so far I got it to modulate but I'm working on making a wet/dry for it. I sure wish there was better options for this kinda utility. I'm on PPC mac so this was the only plug that even works on my platform. If you have any last pointers shoot em at me but otherwise I'll try to find something myself. I appreciate the help.

Scratch that. I got the amount to work on midi lfo. it's just the CC08 i was using for pitch control had some weird behavior. the CC01 pitch one works flawlessly.
