how to transfer fx from midi channel to a new audio channel

Post by amnesia56 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 3:53 am

I have set up a really great fx patch and am using it on a midi channel but I want to duplicate the channel but have it as an audio channel.

I assumed you just pan over the fx and copy paste but that doesn't seem to work.

TIA

ctrl-click and drag.

you can rack them to make them easier to move in one movement. you can also then save that rack to your library.

I have managed to group them now.

Final question how to I create a final wet/dry on the group? Like a Utility gain but wet/dry or is a send the only option?
thanks

If you've made a Group of your effects, just add another Chain into that Group that has no effects in it. Voila, one chain is your Wet volume and the empty chain your Dry volume.

Thanks but I want to be able to dial in the wet dry amount with a knob.

Like Tone said - Chain Selector. In the pic below, Macro knob 1 is mapped to select the two chains, and the chains have been set up with a crossfade. You can assign the Macro to a hardware knob if you wish.

OR

Map the Wet volume and Dry volume to the same Macro knob, and invert the modulation range on one of the mappings, top left.

Ok I macro'd now how do I
and the chains have been set up with a crossfade.

I thought I could halve the dry/ wet signal by adjusting the horizontal lines but that just gives me full dry and full wet.
