That is why I wrote, I honestly hate this MBP not just every day, every hour but every time I pick it up. Few inches difference does not matter? If it is someones girlfriend who said that, have no illusion - she lied!
If there is anyone (not too far from Frankfurt) interested in swap - 15` MBP late 2011 for 2.9 MBP or 2.0 Air-conntact me.

Re: Ableton live on MacBook Pro
I had a 15" a few years ago. Traded it for a 13". Now I rock a 13" Retina and couldn't be happier. Dual core i7 @2.9GHz. Good stuff. Apparently I'm able to make predictable FlyLo knock-offs with it.

Re: Ableton live on MacBook Pro
If you are concerned about size/weight of the 15" and don't think you would miss the extra screen real estate, you could always purchase the 13" MBP Retina and upgrade the processor to the i7 clocked at the faster speed (Apple charges an extra $200 to do this)...sure, it's still a dual-core, rather than a quad-core, but you might find the dual core perfectly cool for your computer needs.

Re: Ableton live on MacBook Pro
I have a 13" macbook, and the screen can be kinda small. Not impossible, but I have on occasion wished I had more screen real estate...
