I like the Massive. It replaced a lot of free VSTis I used for lead synths and it´s easy to use. But I wouldn´t buy it for the full price (EUR 199,-). For deep basses I´d also try Rob Papen´s subboombass.

Yeah, FM8, Massive, Kontakt, Battery, Maschine are all Reaktor-Spinoffs , all designed with Reaktor and they share the Core Level of Reaktor.
OP: Whait for a sale, i got Massive in a sale for about 85€ ....
Have fun...

From Wiki:Machinesworking wrote:The dumb, it flows from him like a river.
"Reaktor is a graphical modular software music studio of proprietary license developed by Native Instruments (NI). It lets musicians and sound specialists design and build their own instruments, samplers, effects and sound design tools. It is supplied with many ready-to-use instruments and effects, from emulations of classic synthesizers to futuristic sound design tools. In addition, more than 3000 free instruments can be downloaded from the growing User Library. One of Reaktor's unique selling points is that all of its instruments can be freely examined, customized or taken apart; Reaktor is a tool that effectively encourages reverse engineering."
Let me translate, you can make your own corny synth in there. 1000's of people have.
And the "Massive" for Reaktor is a corny drumbox, unrelated to Massive the synth.

And if Massive is a spinoff of Reaktor, which I can't verify, fine. Whatever. You can spin something off and improve it. It is not a Reaktor ensemble. It is a stand-alone program.
Re: I finally have some money!!!! NI Massive, worth it?
You are right. I didn´t mean that I could do something like Massive (the synth) with Reaktor, I just meant they share DNA technology-wise.It is not a Reaktor ensemble. It is a stand-alone program
The only proof of my statement I found on the web is an old interview with the NI guys and a review (in german) of reaktor 5.5.1.
