I did this latin house thing, sampled some columbian folk singing.

I really liked how this one started out. Both the guitar samples (not sure if you played or sampled. Either way it's nice and smooth) and the vocals worked well together.

Thank you. The guitar parts were played by my son for a different project. I pitched them up into different keys and chopped and pieced them together to make a new progression. The original parts were on an electric nylon so pitched up it gives quite a tough acoustic sound.TmanRocksTheBoat wrote:I really liked how this one started out. Very nice. I'm interested in how the vocal was done. Reminds me of Deep Forest.
Did you start from a field recording?

Re: Children Of Columbia
Thank you Austin.
The vocals were the last thing I did. They are sampled from you tube - a bit of transposition and voila - I didn't even have much trouble fitting them in, I wanted it loose and it was loose enough where it sat. Loads of EQ obviously, tiny bit of delay, that was it. Just auditioned it from session view into the arrangement on the fly, re-did the arrangement a bit once it was in.
