Synthogy Ivory Grand D - Ableton 8 doesn't record Effects

Post by ingozen » Sun Feb 24, 2013 5:25 pm

HI.
1. Ableton plays my Ivory American Concert Grand D presets (Jarrett Hall) just fine - but it doesn't record them.
Can't find the parameters to tell it to do that.
Any pointers?

2. Also, it doesn't record the sustain pedal. Can't find that option either.

3. And.. the note cuts off after 7 seconds when I'm holding it for a fade out. Any tricks around that?

:?

Cheers

  1. If you're trying to record the Midi note and sustain info, make sure the track is record enabled before hitting the record button in the transport. If you're trying to record the audio, you'll need to setup a new Audio Track, and configure it to accept the audio from your piano track. This is done with the "Audio From" drop-down menu.
  2. Once you resolve #1, this should be resolved too.
  3. Are you using Session view or Arrange view? This could happen in Session view when you have a short Midi clip looping around while you're playing.
