just for shits and giggles, i whipped up a size comparison, between the maschine, the push and a 15" macbook pro. Not all that much wider than the maschine, and not as tall...

So I have a MacBook Pro, it only has 2 USB ports.

One USB port is for the Mouse/Keyboard, the other USB port is for the MIDI controller I currently use.

I have Push pre-ordered. Will my MIDI controller be able to plug into the push, thereby saving a USB Port?

Or will I have to just find some way to consolidate some ports/buy a USB hub?

you're using an external mouse and keyboard, on a laptop? That seems a little redundant.

But in answer to your question, no, push is not a usb hub.

Word on the street from my buddy who works at a local audio shop says ~3 weeks after Live 9 is out is when Push drops

Powered USB hub for those situations. theres a decent belkin 7 port hub I use. Power isn't necessary, but will give you tons of expandability.

Thats what every music distributors website says as well, i.e. musiciansfriend/guitarcenter/music123/etc. Ive stopped paying attention to local shop guys, they know just as much as everyone else, the local shop jockey doesnt have some inside info that no one else has

"Have Push the 'push' option on the knob? It's very useful when you want to set a parameter back to the original value, i missed it in the Akai Apc 40, the knob should have the ability of being pushed and return the value to 'zero', like the 'gain-push-knob' on the Kontrol S4"

I sure hope so. That's one thing I have long wished the APC40 could do
