Transition from Live 9 Beta to Live 9

Post by erpi » Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:05 pm

Like a lot of users today, I am doing dome housekeeping before installing Live 9 Suite on Mac OS (which is downloading right now at a whopping 34 Kb/sec).
As a former beta user and Suite 8/M4L owner, do I have to download again the packs or may i keep the same that were used by the Live 9 Beta?

I trashed the Beta and Max 6.1 of the Applications folder but I would love to have to avoid to download again these 55Gb!

What was your process for doing the transition?

Thanks for your advice!

I opted to install everything (including packs) fresh, but I am wondering where the Beta library is on my HD so I can delete it. I imagine it's taking up quite a bit of space somewhere.

Mine didnt remember anything, didnt see my currently installed packs either. Had to set everything back up, go manually delete all the existing packs, and reinstall them all

about using packs from beta vs downloading again. i (and i'm sure many others) noticed that the packs have version names. if it's the same version as you downloaded previously according to the file name, i seriously doubt you need to download again.
