Custom keyboard commands question

My apologies if theres already threads on this but Im too lazy to search right now. I need to know why every time I set my custom commands up for my keyboard it doesnt get saved... Is there no way to save those settings?

What custom commands exactly?

If you're talking about MIDI mappings then indeed; those do not get saved by default but only on a per-project basis. If you want to setup some global MIDI mappings its best to set these up in your default template.

You can do that by starting Live, then setting up the shortcuts you require, then choose the option "Save this liveset as default" from the preference section (preference -> file tab).

After you did that then your mappings become available the very moment you start Live again.
