Ableton 9 browser / Max for Live question

Post by DJWhizzkidd » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:28 am

Hi

I have 9 suite installed, have downloaded and installed latest version of Max and also downloaded the max essentials packs.

The problem I have is that no max devices show in the browser under the max 4 live section. I have to go to My Packs, browse to the max pack and select them from there. I don't think it should work like this. surely they should be added to devices in the actual Max section of the browser?

Am I doing this wrong?

I have the same problem, I have search on internet and seen some but not so many complaints about this. I hope they include a way to force the browser to do an indexing, for example in the preferences menu. I dont belive it is ment to be that only things in the core library shall show in the categories in the browser.

By the way, no content from none of my live packs show up under categories.

Apart from this I think live 9 is awesome :D

I'd double check this.

Yes they are.

Sounds like you have done everything correctly. Strange it's not working as it should. I'd email support.
It would be helpful if Abes showed a little more presence on this site with so many people having issue with release.
They could clear up a lot of confusion & uncertainty. Maybe they are all too drunk

I think I solved the problem. I have installed all my packs in the same folder as the live 8 user library. When I moved all live packs outside this folder to a new folder and pointed to the new location in the preferences everything showed up under categories also the Max4live stuff.

I think it should work this way so you dont mix live 8 and live 9 stuff. Great!

:D
