You get 1 big black Ableton logo one (8 strips) 2 x med logo in orange/red, 1 x med logo in white, 1 x med logo in black, 3 x small logo in black, 2 x logo with Ableton in black, 1 x logo with Ableton in black

Plus they smell like stickers

I think I still have the stickers from suite 8 (I should have a look later)!

Downloading isn't half as time consuming as installing those packs. Retro synths took forever to install.

Spent all last night installing them... And that's from CD! Plus missed out orchestral brass and woodwind as I got so bored.

Could anyone post a list of the actual Pack file sizes please?

I left mine downloading last night, and while all the files seem to have downloaded, some of the sizes are nowhere near what the ableton.com site says they are (some are bigger, some are smaller!)

edit: Or, put it another way - would an incomplete Pack file still install? Or would it come up as corrupt and throw an error?

By looking at a specific place.

For example; after I re-installed Kim, (a partner instrument) it became available in the Sounds section (Sounds -> Guitar & Plucked -> Kim.adg).

But its also still available in my Live 8 library: Live 8 -> Presets -> Instruments -> Instrument Rack -> Soniccouture -> Kim -> Kim.adg.

The same preset in 2 places.

Of course; presets are one thing. How about keeping several samples (which are slightly larger in size) in both locations?
@everybody: my thread is about a Suite 8 to Suite 9 upgrade download, so i think i don't need session drums since i have it already, or it has been modified and i have to download it again as the other packs/sounds?
If you want it to show up in Live 9 as it was intended then you need to re-install it. If you don't it remains in your Live 8 library, if you do then it will also appear in the Sounds section (and Packs section) of Live 9.

Hope this helps.
Can I install from the DVD I got in Live 7 Suite Boxed? EIC 2 and Session Drums haven't changed a lot since then..
Mac Studio M1
Live 12 Suite,Zebra ,Valhalla Plugins, MIDI Guitar (2+3),Guitar, Bass, VG99, GP10, JV1010 and some controllers

I wonder how heavy is the download since all the library is 54 GB !!!!

I have the Suite 8 version boxed and there was many instruments NOT included in the download version.

Do you know how things are now ???

It seems there are no differences between boxed or download versions, is it right???
I downloaded the full pack version of Ableton Suite 9 and I have to tell ya that the download of the packs is very slow! For some point I was at 50% for about 4 minutes until I moved to 55% for about 3min.! I guess Ableton freezes from time to time as mentioned on their website looking for space or placing library into places! Just to let know everyone!
