I have Live 8 Suite with Max for Live already. Will I miss out on anything important by just upgrading to Live 9 Standard, since in essence I already have the "Suite" portion of Live 9 Suite. (i.e.-Max for Live and all of the instruments?)
How would this affect upgrade path going forward as well? (i.e. Will I be considered a "Live 9 Suite" owner, or "Live 9 Standard Owner Who Just Happens To Have Everything in Suite as Well"?)
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

it boils down to 40$ difference between L9 and Suite ( =4 Orchestral Sample libs and some other sample packs added to Suite)

i took the same path you are thinking about. you will miss out on 40GB of content. *shrugs* you keep max 4 live....it upgrades with devices. you will keep your instruments but you will be considered a standard owner, with all of the instruments (as if you purchased them all separately)
the bad side is, if you want to upgrade to suite later, it will cost you a lot more money.
if you upgrade to suite9 now it will cost $199 (until tuesday) then $299 after.
if you upgrade to standard now, then suite later, it will be $159 now + another $234 on top of that.
