I have not tried the Unitor but I am working with the M-Audio 8x8s which is connected to a Dual G5 running 10.4. My experiences are mixed: The interface does not like sleep mode and crashes from time to time. Once it works, it is fine.
I would also be curious if others here have a good recommendation for a bigger MIDI interface.

If you are in the US, Guitar Center has a great deal on the AMT8 from Emapple. 8x8 usb--so it works with latest pcs/macs. $149

I have a unitor8 mk1 and love it...but its serial only.

About the only thing you give up with the AMT is smpte sync.

whoow, this realy some quick repley, thanks.

i live in holland, so that, with the AMT8 is not a idea.

I wanne buy a Unitor8 mk1 second hand, so this one works fine with ableton? only serial is no problem for me.

For me is the timming the most importent.

Nothing to add

but a "witch midi interface" would be cool. Midi controlled cackling is something I've always wanted.

I've seen one. It has sliders made from chicken bones, knobs amde from newt eyes, and if you trigger the wrong CC, you turn into a toad.

Witch  indeed
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Strelac - your English is good, dude.

Don't worry about criticism from Yanks and Brits who can barely master their own language, let alone another one.

Good luck with your MIDI hunting! :)
