Audio producing priority

Post by conny » Sun Jul 24, 2005 6:53 pm

Running a set (Live 5) I get crackles/drop outs when scrolling posts in FireFox - seems Live audio production should have some priority before GUI things in other apps.
Can I set such priority in some Windows setting?

Tried the Real time option - laptop went dead as a block of ice.
But prioroty high seems to work fine.

Hi,

Setting the priority in the Task manager is fine Live 4 needed the same thing... But can't I set the priority on another level so I don't have to set the priority every time I start Ableton!

:? Greetings Seviel

Use your Text-editor:

type:

start /high [Name of EXE].exe

Save as live.bat

Copy or link to your Program Directory.

RUN !!!

The start /high did not work here.
I could get it to start with:

cd "C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 5.0.1\Program"
"Live 5.0.1.exe"

but no high.
