i cant make music until I get a push.....

Post by bartend7 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 4:59 pm

If this is you then please quit making music. There is too much music that lacks harmony, syncopation and originality. Why dont you guys get a piano first, then worry about pushing buttons. PUSH wont teach you music, but i doubt you care. Music is deeper than launching clips whether you made those clips or not.

before PUSH it was 64 bit.

following the PUSH release there will be an i9 processor. anything less will not be adequate.
surely, this will stop all music production as we know it and begin several Mac vs. PC threads...

then there will be Maschine II. what ever new features it has will have been vital while any remaining missing features will create a rift in music creation.

I don't feel like I can't make music until I get a push, but as a new user to Ableton Live who is just getting into electronic music production but trained in several traditional instruments, I feel like I can't really start making music with Ableton until I get a push.

I still get a lot of inspiration from many different genres of electronic music produced between 98-2003....Mac G3-G4...archaic processing power by today's rigs, yet the production is just as solid as stuff that I hear today.

Live, Reason, Moog sub phatty, Moog sub 37, Ozone 6, guitars, Pedals, proper ergonomic sitting posture, french pressed coffee with a pinch of cardamon.

music cannot be made without the latest MBP and 64,000 track 64 bit DAW with dual monitor support... any thing less is uncivilized!

Don't be rediculous... you can't grumble about PDC without all your plugins.

you also need them so you can start another thread about them being missing now that Live finally, after 6000+ years of music making, is a 64 bit DAW.

sorry about the hateful post, i was just having some fun, trolling down the street, smokin indo ..... It basically stems from the knowledge that I probably wont pay the 600 bucks and get to enjoy the push which i'm sure is way fun and inspiring.

We all have different gear needs and wants....In my little subjective corner of the world, a moog sub phatty, has more appeal than Push at this juncture. Although I spend more time in the creative and compositional process, than I do in the performance arena (which I miss :( )

Music died when Paris Hilton hit the decks.

Now there's 10x the amount of swagsters playing Trap while doing the Harlem shake with their PBR and glasses with no lenses.

They go to art school, and the reason they want to be apart of this is to become famous, rich and bang bitches. What they don't realize is there is a much easier way to do so... In the end music as we know it is taking a handful of sleeping pills and drinking a bottle of whiskey.

Because of all that people that think you need to do is throw a limiter on it, and you got yourself a major track that you can send to the people to circle jerk each other on soundcloud.

yeah, forget about the fact that lateral 16th note drum step-sequencing was a major figure in what many people consider the most creative dance music ever created.

and forget about the fact that the real reason people like hardware synthesizers is because they don't have to pre-map knobs or use a mouse to control parameters.

also, forget about the fact that isomorphic instruments are one of the neatest contemporary ideas for expressing melodic electronic instruments.

and THEN I'll change my mind and cancel my push pre-order.
