Hi, Oblique and friends finally figured it out it's just a mater of creating a seperate track for the external audio effect and not just double clicking it and simply recording this track eg having it armed. i still haven't figured out how to render the track to wav yet not in the conventional way but I've been able to cut and paste it onto a new live set and render that way successfully. I'm not sure how i'd introduce this system into a regular live set with midi and audio tracks in realtime. but for now that's it. Signing off :)
