Ableton 4 to 5 upgrade

I bought Live 4 less than two weeks ago from a local retailer in the expectation that I’d get the free upgrade to Live 5.

I’ve checked the Ableton web site often to see if Live 5 had been released yet and just discovered that they launched it. I just unlocked Live 4 for the first time and didn’t receive a serial number for 5, which is what I really wanted.

My retailer has now told me tough luck, even though they promised me I’d get 5.0 for purchasing their old 4.0 version (part of me thinks they just wanted to get rid of there "outdated" 4.0 stock).

Am I eligable for the free upgrade to Live 5?
