with all the same settings.

With Live 9 everything just sounds more real. It gives every track that PRO quality sound.

People have being putting the 'improved sound' down to improved filters in the reverb device diffusion section and also in the EQ. So it may not be all paintwork your hearing.

Blind tests are such spoilers. Things can just look and feel audibly better.

Much of the brains auditory perception is actually based on various illusions. Thus, experientially they become very REAL illusions. :D

Maybe the new EQ, compressors, and gate. The Cytomic stuff is powerful!

Where did you hear the reverb was modified in any way with new filtering? I thought that was just EQ. I'm pretty sure everything else with filters are the same. Autofilter, synths, delays etc.

As I am allways a critical costomer I wanted to make clear when I have a positive experience.

For me it was like this: Live 9 opened my template setup of Live 8 and all was fine, PLUS every sound

sounded very fresh... :D

ableton said that they didn´t modify the audio engine but improved some devices like you said.

It was discussed in great depth during the beta testing on the beta forum.

I've seen a lot of threads where people argued about whether or not the overall sound quality was better, but I didn't find anything specific to device changes where Ableton have commented where filtering in the reverb diffusion or overdrive or anything has changed. Would be curious to read that.

There wasn't a lot of information given out appart from the reverb filter but it stand to reason (fingers crossed) that anything else with a EQ/filter section might of seen similar tweeks.
