Are you trying to tell me your make no money whatsoever from your website? The tutorials might be free, but I have a hard time believing someone who promotes their site so frequently and flippantly is doing so for no financial gain.

I don't care if he does or not.. it's the 'free tutorials' he spent '100s of hours' preparing as if it's all done out of good will. If there's a financial kick back, don't make it out to be a labour of love. that's all.

I make no money, it costs me money. I can't make money, I'm on benefits. I have to pay for domain name, hosting, website software, various ancillary software, microphone, mic stand, all sorts of stuff. I paid for my transport to BPM. I pay for online storage specifically and only to backup the website. I pay for all sorts of related stuff. I pay for Fileden now so I have enough bandwidth. It all adds up when you are on benefits. If and when I get off benefits I'll probably carry a couple of adverts to go towards the cost of running the site.

You believe what you want. The internet was invented by Tim Berners-Lee. He refused to patent it. He gave it away free. Not everyone is just out to make a few quid.

Why do you call me flippant? I am very serious. That is a strange word to use. I promote my site so that people get to know about all the free tutorials I have spent ages making. Seems like the logical thing to do.

Who are you anyway? I've never seen you on the forum before, and here you are, an expert on little old me.

So.. the money that comes in from your site goes to pay for itself? Or your benefits are funding the site? If it's anything but the latter, you're making money from the site (even if that money is used to fund the site - it's being paid for by the income generated from the site).

Seems odd if you can't work and are on benefits to dump so much expense into a FREE site.. equipment, backups, etc..

With all the web stats, and other hit-related info you've posted before - it's really hard to believe there's no money coming in from the site.. Else why would the statistics be of such utmost importance for you to relay to the members of the forum.. See what I'm getting at?

I call your banners, talking about your site every chance you get, even if it's not related, and that kind of 'behaviour' flippant.. as it seems to be done to just drive people to your site at all costs. Hence this topic being started.. no regard for the others who use this forum often who don't want to see a giant bright pink banner in every topic, multiple times ad nauseum.

Very annoying indeed. You can block his whole folder with Adblock Plus instead of doing it again and again for every single image. If you right-click on the spam and chose to block it, there should also be this option available:

That's the way to go. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution to block it on the iPhone. If anybody knows an Adblock Plus like feature for Safari on iOS, feel free to share.

^- cheers for that.. never had to actually use adblock plus so aggressively before.. most of the built in subscriptions tend to take care of most of the crap fairly well without intervention.
