I would so love to be able to right click a preset and mark it as a favourite.
It would be really easy to find the sounds and devices I often use.
I suppose I could also save them in my user library, but the idea of a favourites tag seems so intuitive. I have long wondered why the Abes don't have it.
What do you think?

Re: Favourite presets
Just create a "Sounds" project that you save all your favorite presets to. Make it one of the custom folders in your sidebar and drag any tracks/devices you want into it. Then you can organize it with folders as well, instead of just having one long "Favorites" list. See this tutorial: http://www.heatercore.net/2010/02/the-s ... oject.html

Yup, I do this to the extreme!DrOscillator wrote:Just create a "Sounds" project that you save all your favorite presets to. Re: Favourite presets
No cons at all. The user library is good for saving device presets and things related to Live's instruments/effect and racks. BUT if you wanted to save a plugin with its settings (like I do), its still best to save it as a group track and drag it to a custom location in the browser. In one particular case, I have a multichannel drum setup with each section on its own channel hosting different plugin fx. No way to save the in the user library...so thats where having your custom folders come in handy. It also becomes searchable in Live 9's browser.

Re: Favourite presets
Ok I will check it out.
I also seem to be able to create a favourites folder in my User Library... Would that have less functionality than a Sounds project?

Well is doesn't have to be a project folder. Dragging it to the user library is the same thing actually. If you drag a vst plugin track, it saves as an ableton live session. So yea, you can go with the user library. I just realized you can create folders in there, so I'll probably drag my favorites in there too.
