Is there a way to tune each sample when in "Drum Rack" ?

Post by CancerRidden » Tue Mar 19, 2013 2:02 am

So, I've been loading my samples into the drum rack instrument but have been wanting to individually tune each sample, with audio effects, is there a way to do this?

I see obviously you can add an audio effect after the rack but that affects every single sample in the drum rack. Is there a way to modify each individually ?

The application for this is for my drums.

open up chain and use send/return ?

is this the only way to do it?

the problem here is if you have like 30 different effects it could get kinda funky, perhaps I'm using the wrong instrument?

is simpler or sampler a better choice here ?

Yes, from the very beginning. When you drop a sample into a drum rack pad, a new chain is created, and a simpler is added to control that sample. Look at the Transp & Detune settings in the simpler.

Also, if you double click on a sample in the chain it will open simpler next to it with the sample loaded. You are able to add effects to a single sample, just make sure you drag the effect right next to the sample within the rack.
