wav files = white noise

Post by evanwt » Sat Mar 23, 2013 12:31 am

esteemed colleagues of the ableton 8 music production world,
ive been trying to work a remix lately and every time i try and import the vocal acapella wav file (that was originally downloaded as an mp3 file and then converted) wont play. it will allow me to slice the audio a trillion times into a midi track but when i import it into an audio track all i get is feedback and the occasional white noise humm. please help?

thank you

The only thing I could think of is maybe the fact that mp3 is in a compressed audio format and your WAV file might not be... and did you just change the file extension or actually convert the audio. also, are you saying that it does or does not work when you slice to midi?

when i slice it to midi it incorrectly warps the transients but it does slice some audio in. i ended up just re downloading the sample and it works now thanks though!
