Any Mac wizards out there? Corrupt/Unlicensed Library sample

Post by Reasoning » Sat Mar 23, 2013 4:54 am

I recently picked up a new MacBook Pro, and tonight I figured I'd install my Ableton Live 8 Launchpad Edition to it. Now, just to clarify, I've used this version on PC and I didn't have any issue with it whatsoever. My problem is this:

I installed Ableton, and I've repaired my library to ensure the files are not missing. Although, when I click the small arrow to the left of the little folder icons, every folder is empty. I know the samples are installed, and I know where they are, however they aren't appearing in the appropriate/normal location in Ableton.

Also, the issue (which seems to be somewhat common) with the "_______ is either corrupt or not licensed" error message for every sample.

I've searched around, with no luck. I'll be uploading a screenshot of the issue in the next 24 hours, just to give a better idea of what I'm trying to describe here.

If by some stroke of luck you've been through the same problem before, and have a solution, any help would be greatly appreciated. Even suggestions!

Cheers all.
