All the new features are great and very useful.. but if you are having CPU issues, as plenty of us seem to be.. it becomes a little tiresome. I love Live and live by it, I produce Trance and some Mainroom stuff, and by the time I am buried deep into finishing a track I somehow I feel like I am moving backwards cause I am having to consider either freezing plug-in tracks (if you even can) or rendering them as audio just so I can complete my projects.. not good. I recall doing that years ago. Years ago! I know the MAC i5 and i7 chips are some of the most solid on the market.

..and based on the post above, it looks like an upgrade to a bigger MBP will not help the issue ( 15" i7). Guess I will need to get MAC PRO again? I travel a lot so I went the MBP route and had a good time with LIVE 8.. those were the days. But I do love all the new live 9 features. What to do, What to do.

work it out, please!!
but what is to expect, Live is becoming the leading DAW I imagine. Big Program, big machine.

Just wondering... Is it allowed to use Live 8 Suite after installing Live 9 Suite? There is no information about any technical precautions in this matter...
I've noticed kind of a strange behaviour while openning Live 8 project for the first time after Live 9 installation (the Suite version...).
Live 8 scans entire library and it takes quite long time. I haven't noticed any new presets in the Live 8 browser, so I guess it scans it's own library, the old one...
Just wonder if it could influence in any way Live 9 performance?

I've reinstalled Live 9 Suite without most of the included sample packs as Woodwinds, Brass and so on, keeping only M4L stuff and drum packs and I've noticed that spinning wheel spins not that often as before...

Haven't tried it yet with Kontakt, but synths (Reaktor, Absynth, ...) worked just fine...

Updated to 9.0.2 last night. Will test it after work...
