Saving a new Project

Post by abalushi » Mon Mar 25, 2013 3:23 pm

I have Ableton running, I have done some work in it and now I want to save the file for the 1st time so I press Command + S and I get to choose where I want to save the file so I choose a name for my project, a filepath within my Macbook and save it. This works fine.

After a while, the name of the track on top bar of Ableton goes back to 'Untitled' and after that...everytime I save the file, it brings up the same menu when you select 'save file as' and asks me to choose where I want to save the file? but I have already done that and I am trying to overwrite my current work with my old that I did 20 minutes ago!. I thought it may be my shortcut 'Command + Save' that is screwed so I tried saving it from File & Save but still the same issue.

This is very wierd from Ableton. I have saved my file once and next time when I save it, it should just do it then me having to manually overwrite my previous work. Atleast that's how Ableton 8 worked.

My Ableton Library is sitting in my Macbook internal harddrive under the "Music" Folder. This was exactly the same when I had Ableton 8. The library path is directing to the correct location. I thought there might be a bug in Ableton 9.0.2 because not only the above was an issue, I couldn't see all my sample library for some reason. So I decided to re-download Ableton 9, the Library shows all my samples but this issue hasn't been fixed.

Any ideas?
