I want to f**k up loops
I want to f**k up loops
I'm getting bored with using loops in their original form. Is there some juicy tool to just totally screw up loops? I checked BeatFX (that Reaktor thingy), and it looked sweet, but I just dont get Reaktor.
Any other suggestions on what vsts/others to check out?
// Jezper
P.S. I'm speaking of drum loops

Throw a loop in track 1. Trigger the clips in the other tracks which automate the effects. Check the tutorial in my signature for more info.
Cheers

there's a 1000 ways to mess up a loop.
re-arranging:
its up to you, you already have a great tool for that. try Recycle aswell!
processing.
distortion, filtering, waveshaping, phasing ....... blah blah blah
personally I like to drive things through a valve distortion unit, or just gain on an analogue desk.

you can also automate the start point of the loop, and detach the envelope and create infinite variations of the same loop in the same clip.
in envelope window make sure in the dropdown for automation clip is selected, then in the next dropdown select sample start. unlink the envelope and you can drag the loop length within that clip to any length you want, and have the automation at a different length than the actual clip.

If you have the clip set to beat mode, you can select the clip and do this same exercise with the "Sample Offset" setting. That's a fun one, too.adhmzaiusz wrote:you can also automate the start point of the loop, and detach the envelope and create infinite variations of the same loop in the same clip.
