VST/VSTi That You Use/Recommend
Title says it all, im starting production and I wanna use VST/VSTi's. Recommend me any that sound like something that The Neptunes/Jet Age Of Tomorrow/Tyler The Creator/Flying Lotus/SAMIYAM/GasLamp Killer/Daft Punk would use.

They use a lot of hardware.
Flying lotus uses moog instruments for the bass. Minimonsta is a VST version of the minimooog which he uses.
Other than that learn how to use the stuff that comes in the box first, you should be able to come close to their sounds after learning to use synthesis. There are also tutorials on youtube or on the web.

I highly agree with Dalmu in learning the included instruments first... Watch "Nicks tutorials" (not free but so worth it), after watching his Ableton Analog instrument tutorials, I can really get around any subtractive vst synth pretty easily...
Dont expect to achieve A+ sounds right away, all those guys you mentioned practiced production like an instrument, you get out of it what you put into it... that being said dont take it too seriously all the time either, Ive learned a ton just messing around and exploring and having fun with it... welcome to ableton geekdom
